This is just what I needed. I have had these crazy ideas floating in my brain that I wanted to speak about, but couldn't find any listener.I have been thinking about the difference in living conditions between today's world and our ancestors. What strikes me most is the difference in hardship between these two times. Back to 200 years, people were contented with whatever they had. If you had basic necessities fulfilled, you were very happy. Now people have so many luxuries, I wonder whether we really have any problems. Our ancestors knew the worth of a slice of bread, or of a glass of milk. I wonder how many of us really bother about these things. When I read the biography of Vincent Van Gogh, I thought hardship is the prerequisite for genius. Whenever I watch any serial or a movie of the past century, I find that people have grown indifferent now. They don't care about the other person. I think time changes everything, but does it do it for better or worse I would like to know.

Several mistakes of my IIM interviews
I have been meaning to write this thing. But I have been procrastinating for the last few days. Finally my roommate, Jatin, asked me to write and I got that nudge that I needed to write this. May be this same procrastinating thing costed me my IIM calls. Lets start with IIMC's interview.( I will be writing only things which went wrong and are thus ignominious).
There I was, in the middle of the beautiful Joka campus, I checked all the other candidates for the interview, the crowd was heavily biased towards IITKGP students. There was a girl named Tammanna singh( singh, same caste as mine). She asked me about something which I dont remember, but the thing that I remember is that she compared me to an ugly looking guy. Why am I talking about this girl, when I should be writing about the interview. So lets talk about my dreaded interview( I think I sound cliched when I say dreaded). there were 3 profs. two male and one female. One male in 50's(M1), other male prof in his 40's(M2), and the lady prof in her 50's(F). Few days back, Kejriwal had announced that he would contest against NaMo from Varanasi( the place where I study). But he hadn't confirmed his decision. So that was the first question that I was asked in my interview. Why is Varanasi in news in these days? I said without any pause that NaMo and Kejriwal are contesting elections from Varanasi( first question and I was wrong, Kejriwal hadn't confirmed yet). Then M1 said you have written very succintly about your hobbies( if IIMB guys were to ask this question, they wouldn't be so nice about it). That reminds me of something that I did wrong, I hadn't filled the SOP form till the second last date of interview. That shows the kind of reckless person I am. That's enough self loathing. Now, M1 asked me why do I watch Tennis. Do I play, and I said I play in my computer. Then asked about the novels I have read. I said, 7 habits of highly effective people. And he reverted back and said it's not a novel. He again asked about any Novels and I was numb for a minute, couldn't come up with a single title. I don't remember the whole thing. But may be this was the time when most probably they would have given me nothing for my interview. Lastly they asked for any questions that I may have, and I said no Sir.
